How It Started

We started H&H Landscaping in 1996 because we believed there had to be a better way. Our founder saw too many contractors cutting corners, prioritizing speed over quality, treating every landscape like it was disposable. That frustration became our fuel. We decided to build something different, something rooted in doing things right, even when it took longer and cost more.

From day one, this has been a family business. We raised it with Christian values at its core, believing that integrity in your work and respect for your clients aren't just good business, they're obligations. Over the years, we've learned that people notice when you care. They notice when you show up on time, when you clean up after yourself, when you answer their questions honestly instead of selling them something they don't need.

Ledyard has been our home and our work. We've grown through word-of-mouth, one satisfied client at a time, because in a small community, reputation is everything. We've learned to handle everything from major tree work and land clearing to detailed paver patios and retaining walls, lawn installations, mulching, aeration and seeding, spring and fall cleanups, hardscaping, excavation, and plantings. Each service taught us something new about craftsmanship and what clients actually value.
